  The efficient Bosch Performance CX e-drive (Gen. 4) supports your ride up to 25 km/h with powerful 85 Nm. The strongest e-motor of Bosch is perfectly integrated, the THRON² rides well-balanced. In eMTB mode, the motor support adjusts automatically to your riding power. Thanks to the integrated, removable 625 Wh battery, you don’t have to worry about the range.

BALANCED TRAIL GEOMETRY

The THRON² offers a balanced, sporty ride – more than capable of taking on any trail, but also a bit more comfortable. In contrast to the more aggressive JAM² , the THRON² has a more upright sitting position without extreme stack (a little higher) or reach (a little shorter). The chainstays offer enough space to install high-quality alloy mudguards. Riding fun is not missed out – the THRON² is right at home on the trail.

130 MM F.O.L.D. TRAVEL

With 130 mm front and rear suspension travel, the THRON² is well equipped for long trail tours. Thanks to the patented F.O.L.D. kinematics, the full-suspension trail bike’s rear triangle works efficiently every time you push the pedals, while the sensitive suspension absorbs all bumps, allowing you to descent safely and nimbly without losing any power uphill. Naturally, our F.O.L.D. kinematics are optimised for the particular demands of e-MTBs.

The THRON² is capable of anything from bikepacking and commuting to trail tours through alpine terrain. It’s an all-rounder that will get you anywhere you need to go, supported by the powerful Bosch Performance CX e-drive. The key figures: Effective 130 mm F.O.L.D. suspension travel, 29″ wheels with modern 2.6″ tyres and 625 Wh battery capacity. Our fully equipped EQP models feel like SUVs. You decide where the ride goes.

Our EQP models are equipped with pannier rack, mudguards, a stand and a light. The pannier rack has a 16 kg loading capacity, meaning you are prepared for any eventuality and can feel confident matching the bike up to any challenge. Trail riding today, bikepacking tomorrow. 

General Info

Can I add a chain guide?
The Bosch Performance CX e-drive does have a chain guide interface. However, due to so many different chain guides in the market, you or your dealer have to check the clearance for the specific product you want to use.

Does the THRON² have a chain stay protector?
Yes, it comes mounted to the bike. If it is damaged or worn out, you can exchange it.

Which pannier fits to the rack of the THRON² EQP models?
Most rear panniers with siderail click systems like QL 2.1 system will fit our custom design rear rack. For example, the Ortlieb Classic und City models fit.

Can I attach a bike trailer?
The THRON² (from MY22 on) is allowed to pull bike trailers that are attached to the thru-axle. This family-friendly update only applies when the respective maximum system weight (rider, co-riders, bike, trailer, equipment) of 135 kg is not exceeded. As there is no test process for the former models, we can not give another statement than no for them.

Can I connect a light to the battery? Is there a light cable already in the bike?
The cables for the front light are already prepared within your frame. You can ask your local dealer to route them outside and activate the light. For the rear light, a cable needs to be plugged in close to the motor cover. Your dealer has to help you with that one as well.

Why is there no skid plate on the bike?
Don’t worry, the magnesium housing of the engine is strong enough to withstand impacts. Further, it is better for cooling when the motor is not hidden behind covers. Like that, the engine can offer best performance.

How do I get my battery out?
To remove the battery, you open the lock with your key on the side of the downtube. Then just take it out.

How far can I ride with the THRON²?
There is no definite answer to that. Different factors have an impact on your range: Your weight, your luggage, the terrain you ride, which support mode you prefer and and even the temperature influence how long your battery will last. Can I tune my e-bike?
No, that’s not possible and even if it would, we do not recommend it.
